One Year of SHH!T Happens

Anja Christoffersen

A year ago, I stood in a warehouse talking to an iPhone, clapping as six orders rolled in. Someone unsubscribed 3 hour later. Someone else called the name “confronting.” I knew we were onto something.

We launched SHH!T HAPPENS to prove a disabled-led business could be unapologetic, strategic, and actually good.

Since then, we’ve launched four more products.

We’ve backed organisations like Jiggle Club, IBD-hub, SCIA and worked with some of Australia’s favourite brands to bring disability-owned to homes and offices across the country.

We took over one of Sydney’s biggest theatre stages with SHH!T Show.

We handed out toilet rolls in party bags for IDPWD and made strangers laugh mid-commute.

We’ve had typos go to print, freight delays that nearly broke us, and emails we thought would be good news that weren’t. But we’ve also had customer messages that stopped us in our tracks.

We’re still a small team. Still building. Still loud.

And still very much here.

To everyone who gave a SHH!T—thank you.

To everyone who didn’t—you’ll hear us soon.
